The Truman Show (1998) shows the seemingly perfect life of Truman Burbank, who in reality is the unknowing star of a reality TV show. His whole life is one big set, everything around him is a lie. His home town is unhomely because his reality is skewed. Truman realizes that this is not a home; it’s a machine for producing television and exploitation. This is uneasy for the viewer to watch, because we know that Truman is living in an unhomely environment.
